ViaSat Opens New Tampa Office to Serve Growing Government and Defense Information Assurance Customers

CARLSBAD, Calif. (Business Wire EON) July 9, 2008 -- The new office will occupy 6,000 square feet at 5550 W. Idlewild Ave in the TIA Airport Area, the western anchor of the Florida High Tech Corridor. The other ViaSat office in the Southeast is located in Duluth, Georgia, and is home to the company's Commercial Satellite Networks group.

The company is also developing "data at rest" security products and was selected last year by the National Security Agency (NSA) to manufacture its KG-200 and KG-201 In-Line Media Encryptors (IMEs) and to develop the next generation of high assurance storage media security products.
