How I Got A Government Grant
In 2005, I started looking for a grant program to buy a small business. People told me that it was impossible but I was determined to at least give it a try so I began researching...
Almost 18 months later - I got $200,000 (totally free) and $100,000 zero interest loan to purchase a bankrupt restaurant in my town. The Government gave me money for free. Just to buy a business.
I was one of only 3 people to apply. It was a lot of work and I got a good lesson in what NOT to do...but in the end I owned a half million dollar asset for free! (I've since sold it for a pretty nice profit)
Now I'm in the process of getting a zero interest loan to rehab and flip single family homes that have been foreclosed...the money's out there if you know where to look...
Most people will never apply for free grant money and government loans, because they somehow feel it isn't for them, they may feel there's too much red-tape involved or they simply don't know who to contact for this money. The fact is, that people from all walks of life do receive free grant money, personal assistance and other benefits from the Government everyday, and so should you!
These great give-away programs are so incredibly huge that if each of the approximately 8 million businesses applied for an equal share, they would each receive over $70,000.00 in free grant money.
Discover hundreds of programs for women, minorities, entrepreneurs, students, businesses, inventors, veterans, the unemployed, youth services, communities, home and real-estate buyers, artists, musicians, nurses, teachers, researchers and that's just to name a few. You can take advantage of these amazing opportunities now! This is your tax money, start now and get some of your money back!
Grant Money Is Not A Loan, Trying to get money through a conventional bank can be very time consuming and requires a lot of paperwork, only to find out that you've been denied. These Government Agencies don't have to operate under the same stringent requirements that banks do.
You decide how much money you need and meet the Government or Foundation Agency criteria, the money is yours to keep and never has to be repaid. This money is non taxable & interest free.
The biggest thing I learned about getting a government grant is that FINDING the right program is only half the battle. Constructing the right application is equally as important. I've come across too many people who buy a grant directory and just mail out a one-page application with no business plan, projections or anything else. The Government isn't going to give taxpayers' money away to someone who isn't serious enough to come up with a decent business plan...and that, in itself, takes crafting. Our website has a TON of great free resources for everything you need to get started. Above all, remember, getting the Government to give you money is not as hard as it might look at first. Find the right program - then spend some time and prepare a good business plan - then apply! Do that a few times and you'll be on your way to financial freedom with Uncle Sam's help in no time!
Two years ago I went through the agonizing process of getting a grant to buy a local business. A lot of Grant sites out there will charge you $50+ for the info in this article... Visit http://www.officialgovernmentgrants.com for more great resources!
