eSolve Now Available Free To All Law Enforcement, Government Agencies
Stony Plain, AB (PRWEB) January 18, 2008 -- Senior officers in major cases and investigations of other serious crimes now have free access to eSolve investigation management software (http://www.esolve.ca) that provides total investigation management. The free availability, announced today by Bradley Siddell, Trinus Technologies' eSolve Project Manager, is a $2,500 per license value.
"This software can link previously unconnected data to turn information into actionable intelligence that puts the bad guys behind bars," said Siddell. "We're pleased to put this powerful tool in the hands of the people who need it the most. Unfortunately, most agencies don't have the financial resources to do the job. We decided to remove that barrier so they can get on with the business of solving crimes without worrying about the price tag."
eSolve provides the control and organization investigators need to distill concrete facts from volumes of raw data. "eSolve uses internationally recognized best practices in major case management," Siddell said. "It integrates all elements of an investigation through a sophisticated linking engine that tracks in-depth information to produce insightful analysis of relationships and timelines. eSolve also forms and preserves a comprehensive chain of evidence for use in prosecution."
This law enforcement software (http://www.esolve.ca) is also useful in terrorist threats, intelligence probes, disasters, pandemics and other crises, Siddell said.
Launched in October, eSolve underwent a months-long software development pilot project that featured real-life use by law enforcement agencies. "This experience provided direct feedback from active investigators so we could identify ways to improve eSolve to meet the needs that agencies encounter in the field," said Siddell. "We also learned a great deal about customizing the software to meet the priorities of investigation commanders."
In addition to its advanced linking and organization features, eSolve is also capable of coordinating volumes of tip information that police may receive as a result of a mass public appeal or a long-term investigation. The software also produces standard reports that provide an up-to-date snapshot of an investigation's status and progress, as well as documents that can be used in court.
Already in use internationally, eSolve is helping authorities in more than a dozen countries maximize their resources and improve their success rates while also cutting their costs. The list includes organizations in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa.
"The free offer enables investigators everywhere to put eSolve to work on their most difficult cases," said Siddell. "Police budgets in many nations are strained in even the best of times, and that's particularly true in third-world nations, where the needs may be the greatest. We wanted to remove that barrier, because law enforcement is difficult enough without having to fight crime and budgets at the same time."
Using eSolve, commanders can track multi-agency projects simultaneously so even complex investigations can stay organized and focused. Because it is web-based, the software can be accessed from any location at any time.
